DSA Annual General Meeting 2008

A total of 15 members attended the DSA EXCO Annual General Meeting held at Biz Hub @ Ozone.

The Honorary Treasurer, Ms. Jennifer Teo presented the Statement of Accounts as at 31th December 2007. The financial position of the DSA was noted to be healthy.

The President informed that he had received nominations for the various Officer Bearers’ and Committee Members post before the 31st March 2008 dateline. Mr Andrew Kwan was invited to be the Election Officer for the AGM. The Election Officer was to ensure that the AGM was conducted according to the DSA Constitution. Mr Kwan confirmed that the meeting had met the quorum of members or 25% of the total voting membership, whichever is lower. He examined the nomination forms presented to him and confirmed that they were received at the AGM to challenge the posts being nominated. The Election Officer, Mr Andrew Kuan declared the executive committee candidates to be duly elected to the incoming DSA’s Executive Committee for the term 2008/2010. Some of the ideas that the DSA came up with earlier this year, was to organize a Golf Tournament or a triathelon. so that we will be able to raise funds for the Alumni, as well as the school.
 

 
The new President, Mr. Bernard Quek thanked members for the confidence placed in him by members to lead the alumni. The President urged the new in-coming EXCO to work harder in bonding the between the School and the Alumni. He also hopes that the association can further objectives of the school in furthering its various objectives.
